christmas in Austria

My wife and I are planning to spend Christmas this year in Austria. We have 6 nights which we plan on spending 2 in Vienna , 2 in Salzburg and the remaining 2 in a ski resort.

My questions are?

- which 5 star ski resort/hotel would you recomend ?

- would you spend Christmas eve in Vienna or Salzburg ?

- we are staying at the Imperial in Vienna , which hotel would you recomend in Salzburg ?

Hello, for your stay in Salzburg I would recommend the five star Hotel Schloss Monchstein. Here is a link:

I%26#39;m not really familiar with the ski resorts so hopefully someone else will recommend one for you. This one at Lech is recommended by the Five Star Alliance:

Although I am biased and prefer Salzburg I would imagine Vienna would offer you more scope on Christmas Eve.

It depends you far from Salzburg you are willing to travel and which Kind of hotel you do prefer. Or in which kind of skiing village you would like to stay - in a remote one or a posh place ...?
