Kitzbuhel New Year

Hi off to Kitzbuhel myself wife and two girls 17 and 15 for new year any tips on nightlife, things to do over the New year period (wife a bit of a party animal lol) regards Mike.

You are very lucky as Kitzbuehel is a great place to be at Christmas!!!!

As it is a posh place in the Austrian mountains there will be many people and there will take place many events - there are many restaurants, bars, ...in town for distraction and I think people will celebrate on the streets as well!

thanks for info, the new year fireworks are they on new years eve or new years day, have heard different dates, anyone know?

Usually they are on New Year´s Eve - maybe there is a second happening on New Year´s Day!

Yes you should have a fab time in Kitz over the New Year. We were there for 1999/2000 New Years Eve fireworks and Ski School ( Red Devils ) presentation - it was out of this world !

Usually starts about 11pm : wrap up as the night can be chilly, but there are bars near by where you can buy hot Gluvine !
