Hi, i have a couple question to ask...

We are a 2 adults and 2 years old baby family whos coming in january for the first time in Austria.

I am totally ski beginer, but i have a big wish to learn,i am already buy new skis and boots and hardly wait to start.

Past couple of days i was spend on the net searching for right town for us.

I can not make decision wich of these towns are the right one for us

1.bad gastein

2.bad hofgastein

3.dorfgastein

4.kaprun

5.zeel am see

6.hintertux and mayrhofen

The region of first 3 towns and the last one are my favorites for now but i want that you,if you dont mind, tell me something

about them and also to tell me your recommendation. We like mountin towns with lots of snow, slopes and lifts all around.

We dont like shoping and night life.

Thank%26#39;s and best regards from family Jovicki

I have been to the first 5 towns of your list....

...and I would skip Kaprun and Bad Gastein first.

Zell am See is very nice with its location at the lake and the beautiful surrounding mountains, but it is a (small) town with shops, restaurants, ...:

If you are searching for a cute little village then Dorfgastin would be the best choice.

Maybe you would like the hotel Roemerhof:

Bad Hofgastein is nice too.

Another village I think could be a choice for you is Wagrein - it is a cute little village within a very good skiing area - ver romantic too:

The %26quot; Steins%26quot; have limited terrain for beginner skiers.

Bad gastein- too many old hoztles for me.

Hintertux is primarily glacier skiing and is less suited for beginners. Little shopping and nightlife-

Mayrhofen is about 30 minutes down the valley from Hintertux.

You must take a cable car or gondola for skiing.

Good ski schools and many easy slopes .

Mayrhofen offers a good range of accomodations.

Favorite place for english guests- most tourist workers and instructors will speak some english.

Fair amount of night life.

Good snow making if nature does not provide much.

Zell is good but never a favorite place of mine but nice atmosphere in the town.
