Staatsoper Seating: Longen 1 Rang Rechts 1

I am planning to buy tickets for ballet in the staatsoper.

Is there anyone who can tell me if I can see anything from the seats

Longen 1 Rang Rechts 1 (nearest from the stage)

and

S.Parket 3rd or 4th Line from the stage No. 1 or 2 (side)

They cost 125 and 100 Euro and I am not sure if they are worth that.

You%26#39;ll see well from the Parkett seats. The Loge 1. Rang seat is even more on the side and in addition, your seat is facing rather the auditorium than the stage and therefore you might find it rather uncomfortable sitting and watching the opera always turning to the side of the stage, especially if your back is not in perfect condition. The view should be fine though, but not as good as from Parterre.

Which day are you going? I can check seats online and recommend one maybe.

I am planning to see Der Nussknacker on 28th Dec 07.

There are only two seats avaiable online and I need two seats.

Some pople in this forum mentioned that tickets are on sale only a month before the performance.

So I am a bit confused about the ticket sales as many others ;-)

I want to have one good seats to my mother. I may take cheaper seats somewhere up.

If we spilit up to seat, will it be difficult to meet during the intersession ?

It%26#39;s true that genereal ticket sales only starts exactly one month ahead of each performance, however, a portion of category 1 and 2 seats are being put on sale in June for the whole following season.

The two seats you%26#39;re seeing now are the remains of that contingent. But there is no reason to worry, on Nov. 28th loads of tickets will become available for online and telephone booking!

You should definitely wait and you%26#39;ll get some nice tickets next to each other, possibly in a somewhat cheaper category. Balkon Mitte seats are nice for example. This performance shouldn%26#39;t sell out too quickly, if at all.

As you say, I decided to wait till 28 Nov and see if there are better seats with more reasonble price.

I may send a request Fax before 28 Nov.
