Eating out at Hangar-7?

I am looking for a really special place to eat out in Salzburg on this Friday night and I just came across %26quot;Hangar-7%26quot;.

Has anyone been there, what is the price range?

Is the food as nice as its architecture? It is worth it?

Thank you for any piece of advice you might offer.

Hangar 7 is a very , very nice place.

As you already know at the airport - opposite side from the terminal.

A nice display of racing cars, jets, vintage places etc. on the main floor.

The owner of the drink Red Bull , owns this also and demands as always with his things , the highest standards. In fact he was there with a group during my last visit- his face well known here.

I last dined there in January, I believe they still have the same system of rotating Chefs about each month- fantastic food with ever changing menu.

price was not inexpensive , but to me worth it in style and quality.

If I remember correctly , the price was not really more than what one would pay for other quality places in Salburg.

A nice cafe too , serving most of the day.

Architecture genius even extends to the restroom facilities on the lower level. Make a stop even if you do not need to use them.

Large free parking just across the street or an easy taxi ride from the city center.

Yes, the roataing chefs scheme is still on and this month the renown U.S. Gary Danko is preparing his specialities for H7 guests.

I look forward to my visit there! Yummy!

Did you enjoy your eveing at Hangar-7 and was the food good ?

I am going to Salzburg in December and would like to visit there,does anyone know if it is open in the evening in the Winter months.Looking at their web page it looks as though it closes at 4pm.

To my knowledge it is open.

I assume you refer to the Ikarus Restaurant.

You may have seen on the Hangar 7 website that they will have some special hours and closings in November due to preparations for their highlight of the year -Ikarus Night a special evening meal of many courses prepared by some of the worlds greatest chefs.

Other than this event - usual business hours.-
