Marionnette Children's version

hello! we are planning on watching the Marionnette show at the Schonbrunn. they are showing The Magic Flute. they have both the kids and adults version. we are not hard-core fans but would like to see the show. would the kid%26#39;s version (1 hr 15 mins) be recommended to adults as compared with the adult version (2hrs 20mins)? thanks!

ps. is there a difference in the quality between the marionnette theater in salzburg and vienna? THANKS!

Last year we saw the abridged version of The Magic Flute and loved it. We attended with our three year-old, who was completely spellbound.

That said, I would recommend attending the adult version since:

1. The puppetry and the show is so entertaining;

2. Thie kiddo version has some voiceovers to enable the show to be squeezed into a short time slot.

I attended a show at the Salbrug Marionette Theatre several years ago and loved it so much I promised myself to return. Alas, I haven%26#39;t been in Salzburg since then, but the Schönbrunn performance was just as wonderful. It is so weird to have to remind yourselves that they are puppets and not people.

Thanks! Can%26#39;t imagine how a puppet show could come so highly recommended but we believe you and others who have vouched for it! Would go to the adult%26#39;s version then. :)
