pension postkutche

hi, has anyone heard of this small hotel/ penison in kitzbuhel?

i have stayed here 4 times in the past with inghams but it is not in the brochure this year?

its quite small (about 20 or so rooms) and was british run, but i know the last time i was there the building was up for sale.

it was the old posthouse and still had a letterbox outside

i would like to go back if it is now run by someone else

can anyone help - my spelling is probably all wrong?

I would suggest you call or mail the Kitz Tourist Office with your question.

They would know all the pensions and hotels - new and old.

Do you know if the Hotel Schweizerhof is brand new?

i notice it has been renovated recently i wondered is it a brand new building or a renovated old one (the address is quite similar to where i remember postkutche being?)

Hi, I notice it%26#39;s a long time since you wrote about Postkutche in kitzbuhel. I used to work there for Inghams, I%26#39;ve heard that it was knocked down!! Which is such a shame as it had a good character. Which years were you there on holiday? I was working there during winter 1999/2000, perhaps you were my guests. I remember we had a group of Irish - they were the best guests (they had some nice son%26#39;s!!) I hope this has been helpful!

Thanks for your reply. I visited again last year and Postkutche was still there, but derelict and up for sale. I wish someone would buy it and restore it. I had some great holidays there with Inghams. They were the best tour company ever! We were there June 97, then July99 and August 2002 and then back in Kitzbuhel (but at a different hotel) August 2006. Had my wee daughter with me August 2002 and August 2006, had a fantastic time in Postkutche with my wee one- the Inghams staff were always so helpful and kind to me with a wee one.

Hi, I%26#39;m glad to hear it%26#39;s still there. if anybody else is reading this and has some money to spare then buy this little hotel. It%26#39;s got such a beautiful old austrian character, everybody loves it there. Somebody but it and I%26#39;ll go back and work there!!

Do you know if the Hotel Schweizerhof is brand new?

I was staying in this hotel a few weeks ago and it is quite new,it is built on the site of the old Schweizerhof pension and still owned by the same family.It is an excellent hotel with superb facitilties great staff and fantastic food.there are lots of pictures of the old pension adorning the walls of the new hotel.
