Skiing with kids in Austria

Thinking of going skiing Jan 2008 in Austria with kids 9, 2 and 1. None of us have ever been ski-ing. Please advise what region to choose.

Just let me know a bit more about your preferences:

-Would you like to stay in a small town or more in a cute village?

- in a remote area or some apres-ski and night life as well?

- would you like to have choices of restaurants and shops or is it enough to stay in the hotel?

- would you like to stay in the really high mountains or more in a valley?

-close to an airport?
