Advice of Booking Ski Holiday to Ischgl

Iv been given a task by my boss to book him a skiing holiday for himselft and 7 friends to go to Ischgl and staying at either the Madlein or Elisabeth hotel in March

Can anyone give me who might be best to book with?

Many thanks in advance

Do not book the Madlein - it has awful reviews in this forum and I have also heard some bad things. Cannot comment on Elisabeth.

But if your boss wants a really good hotel with excellent food, book him into the Hotel Trofana Royal - the best hotel in Ischgl!

Some friends stayed at the Elizabeth at Easter and they really enjoyed the food. We were staying in cheap self catering outside the village. Further in the village it looks much more expensive and I would really like to have been there. The Elizabeth is well placed for lifts and early apres ski but many people move on elsewhere so it really depends what they want.

The Elizabeth boasts dancing girls on bar tables.

When we went at Easter it was the end of the season and we saw the Scissor Sisters live on the slopes...not sure who they will have at this year%26#39;s party.

Not many Brits which was great too.

I will certainly go back......

Cheers for all your help.

Booked direct with the Elisabeth, and got some cheap flights from easyjet.

Hi, I have read reviews on tripadvisor stating that Elisabeth and Madelin are over priced, rooms small, food not good and staff not friendly. . wonder could somebody who has being there last year please comment. The web sites for these hotels look fantastic, hence my surprise when I read the reviews

Location seems to be perfect but what about the hotel facilities, food, service and value for money ?

Thanks macdublin

I personally never have stayed in Ischgl, but 2 close friends of mine who usually only stay in the best hotels around the world have both stayed in the above mentioned Hotel Trofana Royal and were extremely satisfied. It is also very well known across Austria - so to be sure, I would recommend staying there, and the reviews here are great, too:

That is the correct link!

One of the guys that my boss is going recommended the Elisabeth and the Madelein - the latter being his preference over the two. His friend stayed at the Madlein last year.

Iv found out that the Madlein and the Elisabeth are actually sister hotels and guests free to use the facilities in either hotel.

I thought it was overpriced but its not my money, but I dont know the cost of accomodation having not being skiing before.
