Vienna at Christmas?

My family and I are going to be in Vienna for Xmas this year. Can you recommend an activity that we should do on Xmas eve? We were considering Weikersdorf Castle package for dinner and Midnite Mass, but it%26#39;s so expensive and I was wondering about other options. I would love your input about fun things to do in Vienna during that time as well. Thanks so much!

Why go to Baden on Christmas Eve?

So much to do in Vienna.-

Last minute shopping Christmas Eve Day- a visit to Schönbrunn Christmas Market - some Christmas music on the stage - some punsch to celebrate the Holiday and keep warm- some good soup or a potato with various toppings- a Nice Christmas Eve dinner - Church services in the late evening-

The Schotten Church at Freyung always nice or one of many other Churches- get there early for a seat-

The only cost for the above is the food.

Always nice is a walk through the park at the Rathaus ( city hall ) in the evening to see the lights and displays- The Christmas Market not the best in Vienna but still fun to visit even if you do not buy anything.

I would stay in Vienna and enjoy the nice atmosphere in the beautifully decorated city and visit some Christmas markets:
