Christmas in Seefeld..What clothes should we take?

We are going to Seefeld for christmas,this will be our first winter holiday so im just wondering what to pack.??Ive got ski wear, but what do people wear on an evening,will it be ok to go into bars in walking gear?Im taking some dressy up stuff for chrismas eve/day but i dont think i%26#39;ll have room for alsorts!

Some clothing choices depend on the nature of the hotel being used for your visit.

A few will require dressier clothing for the evening- epecially many places on Christmas Eve- one outfit is enough.

but mostly a dressy casual is Ok in most places

remember you are in a holiday ski resort and most dress accordingly.

men- pants, shirt , sweater is good

women - same as above although you see some in all different things.

apres ski early evening - many appear in ski clothing - but it can get hot.

I do not understand %26quot; walking gear %26quot; -- but in many bars most any clothing is OK

Some nice quality clothing shops in Seefeld - let you add to your wardrobe if you have forgotten something

Like the other guy says, it kinda depends on the hotel, but .......

I have encountered Austrian guests in traditional costume, chic German and Italian matrons in cashmere and pearl, designer-clad American gals, plus a handful of grungy types mixed in for good measure. I would say if you%26#39;re walking to a bar then warm sporty gear will be fine, but if you%26#39;ll be dining in your hotel, wear whatever smart/smart casual you feel comfortable with, nothing too way-out, or too warm as the central heating may be cranked up. Then, hold your head up high, smile, and remember to greet your fellow diners .....%26quot;Guten Arbend! Good manners are still in fashion in Austria!
