Last minute trip to Salzburg

Hi

I have booked a trip for myself and my two boys aged 9 and 11 arriving Dec 19th for 3 nights

Can anyone recommend a nice central hotel not too expensive under 150 euros a night

We would like to go on one trip to the mountains - I see the caves are closed but what about Tobagganing. Could we go there and hire the clothes etc.

We are so excited can%26#39;t wait for the Markets etc

Hello

A nice central hotel is Hotel Weisse Taube. Very close to the markets and quite reasonable. Another is Hotel Elefant. Both these hotels are within a few minutes walk from the two main markets in Residenzplatz and Domplatz. See the links:

I don%26#39;t know much about tobogganing but this site might help:

Today the Christmas market stalls have been put up in Residenzplatz. You can see what is happening on the webcams:

It%26#39;s dark at the moment but you%26#39;ll be able to take a look tomorrow.

Have a great trip. Salzburg is completely magical during the Advent season, but wrap up warm!

If you have no joy with the hotels come back and I%26#39;ll think of some others.

Your boys will love the fortress so make sure you take a trip up there. You can take the funicular to the top. There%26#39;s all sorts to see up there and the views are great. There is sometimes another market in the courtyard.

A short busride (No. 25) away is Schloss Hellbrunn. There is a smaller market there during the afternoons. Last year they had a lovely petting zoo and real reindeer. Salzburg zoo is also at Hellbrunn and well worth a visit.

If you like Pizza, Da Pippo is a nice restaurant on Altermarkt. It is on the first floor with nice views from the windows. It%26#39;s also very reasonably priced.
