weather in salzburg THIS weekend...and some other inquiries!

hello all again,

if someone might be able to tell me the weather in salzburg for THIS thursday, friday, and saturday, that would be splendid...i looked on weather.com and they are calling for rain, 60% chance. i really hope the forecast is wrong!

also, someone told me about going to see %26quot;hitler%26#39;s nest%26quot; (?) in salzburg or somewhere nearby, perhaps by the salt mines? i wasn%26#39;t clear on what my friend was referring to, but is this possible, if you have any idea?

finally, do things in the christmas market tend to be very expensive? i have about 190 euros with me for the weekend. do you suppose that sounds good for a few festive souvenirs?

OOH i have just realized another important question (haha :P)...are credit cards widely accepted? i have read that lots of places do not but i figure i might ask a native for their advice.

The Christmas markets open on Thursday so the atmosphere in the city will be wonderful. Even if the weather is bad there is lots to see.

The Eagles Nest tour will not be open at this time of year. It is open from May to the end of October. After then the weather is just too unpredictable.

There is a wide variety of things on the Christmas markets so you can still find nice, inexpensive things.

The No. 25 bus takes you to Schloss Hellbrunn, a lovely (small) 17th century palace, just outside the city. There is a small Christmas market there during the afternoons which is really nice.
