Vegetarian in Vienna?

I%26#39;m going to be traveling to Vienna on the 17th from Budapest with my girlfriend from the U.S. who is a vegetarian.

Can you recommend any good vegetarian restaurants? If not, are the cooks accommodating?

What is the best /frugal way to travel?

Will I be able to stop by Salzburg on the way and then get back on a train to Vienna? What would you recommend to see if I am only there for half a day?

Would you recommend the Römertherme spa if I am only in the city for 3 days?

How would I get there and is it easy to get around?

I wanted to see The Lipizzans%26#39; morning exercise, would tickets for these still be available? I wasn%26#39;t able to see where to book them online at their web site.

Thanks!

For vegetarian restaurants in Vienna look at this posting from last month:

Between Budpaest, Vienna and salzburg, I would take trains, frequent connections, always going mostly city center to city center, and timewise there is no sense in taking flights.

Yes, you could do a daytour to Salzburg by train, there are plentzy of direct trains going, but it looks like you are aiming at a bit of a tight schedule.

Train information: www.oebb.at

For recomm. on a programm for salzburg, I suggest you post on the %26quot;Salzburg%26quot; forum.

Römertherme: Yes, of course you could go there, but be reminded that if you want any relaxing effect from it, you should plan at least a day for it, starting from Vienna. You can take a little commuter train there, the %26quot;Badner Bahn%26quot;, it starts in Vienna across the road from the opera, its about 1h15min to go there.

According to the Spanisch Ridng school webpage, there is no online booking for the morning exercise:
