Hi,
I am planning to visit Lech for a couple of days in late December, along with my wife, and would like to stay at Oberlech after reading all the messages here. I called a few hotels/B%26amp;Bs (list found on oberlech.com) and since it is the high season, could find very little availability.
I did find a double room in one little hotel called Hotel Ilga. Has anyone ever stayed there? I read that it is close to the cable car but dont know much else, and couldnt find any reviews here on TripAdvisor. Any help is most appreciated.
Thanks!

I have not stayed there, but I did some research and found this:

I found a review in Dutch which was quite good (7.8 out of 10 points).
About Oberlech:
Be aware that Oberlech is a car-free area and you will have to take the cable car from Lech - the Lech-Oberlech cable car (which leaves from the centre of Lech opposite the church) provides fast and easy access to the hotels of Oberlech which are located in the traffic-free zone. Service hours are from 7:00am to 1:00am. After you arrive in Lech, tickets for your first ride up are waiting for you at the ground station.
If you arrive by car, you will receive a ticket for your own parking space in the underground parking garage directly in front of the cable car station.
A number of hotels and guest houses, which are not located in the centre of Oberlech, can easily be reached by car all year around - so contact your hotel concerning these points!

Thanks so much Ulrike. I received some photos from the landlord and they seem quite nice (photos always do look nice though!)
Will post a detailed review here once I get back.

Is a nice friendly family run hotel on the ski piste. I think it was renovated last year, but you could ask the family. It is oppisite the cable car, so easy to get to. Cable car is great for %26quot;rodeling%26quot; in the evenings. Hope you have a nice holiday!
