Trains from Salsburg to Seefeld?

Does anyone know if we can travel from Salzburg to Seefeld by train?

We are going for christmas and really looking forward,we have

never been to Austria before or had a Winter holiday,We have always gone for the sun!

Why do you have to go there from Salzburg? It would be much shorter and easier to fly into Innsbruck as it would only take you 36 minutes to get to Seefeld from there.

Ulrike makes a good suggestion to you in my opinion .

The journey Salzburg - Seefeld is 2 1/2 hours + - 36 euro one way.

Innsbruck is much more convenient. Even Munich may offer better connections for you.

Christmas is very nice in Seefeld !

Train travel is easy... you just buy the ticket before you go. Slight discount from the 2nd passenger on which is issued without asking (ticket machines, ticket windows).

The new timetable will be issued at the beginning of November... so check again later. Annual europe-wide timetable change is on 8/9. Dec.

In the timetable query, you can enter all stations/stops/bus stops in Austria + all addresses... it will then show you also a map from/to the station.

We got really cheap flights to Salzburg (£260 for the both of us from Leeds) and thought the train journey would be a nice way to see the area.The flights to Innsbruck were over £600!

It%26#39;s also quite easy to get from Salzburg to Seefeld...

board the trolley bus in front of the airport terminal (tickets from driver or ticket machine), get off at %26quot;Hauptbahnhof%26quot;. Buy your tickets there (you can also buy it online, but it doesn%26#39;t save you any cent and day online-tickets are only valid for the chosen day) and catch a train to Innsbruck, where you have to change again to a regional train to Seefeld.
