Hi! we are thinking between going to the Wiener Hofmusikkapelle (the Vienna Boys%26#39; Choir are supposed to be included in the program too) and going to hear Malat-Schrammeln %26amp; Gaste at Lehár Schlössl (Schikaneder Schlössl). Which would be more enjoyable and give a unique Viennese experience? Thanks a LOT!
By the way, this is the program for the Wiener Hofmusikkiapelle:
Riccardo Muti, Dirigent
Julia Kleiter, Sopran
Michaela Selinger, Alt
Herbert Lippert, Tenor
Jörg Schneider, Tenor
Vito Priante, Bass
Program:
• Luigi Maria Cherubini
Kantate auf den Tod Haydns
%26quot;Ave Maria%26quot;
%26quot;Graduale o salutaris%26quot;
Regina coeli
• Joseph Haydn
Messe B - Dur, Hob. XXII:14 (%26quot;Harmoniemesse%26quot;)
Cycle:
Das Goldene Musikvereinsabonnement II
Organizer:
Gesellschaft der Musikfreunde in Wien

These are two completely different offerings.
Malat -Schrammeln- name of a group of musicians - playing Schramml music -a group of violins, form of clarinet, double bass guitar and a vienna button Harmonica ( a form of accordion )
The music probably best described as viennese folk music- unique sound -named from the famed composers the Schrammel brothers-
Very popular music in Vienna a century ago - still liked by many .
The Boys Choir with Muti.
I assume that you refer to the concert at the Musikverein on November 23 and 24th.
This is an annual event featuring the Chapel Imperial - Boys Choir, members of the chorus at the State Opera and some members of the Vienna Philharmonic.
Both good choices-
Only you know your best music interests.
Unique to Vienna- probably the Schrammeln in my opinion.
