Buying cheap electronics?

Hi,

Is Vienna cheap for electronics? I need to buy a photo storage device (the Epson p3000) by Christmas. It%26#39;s quite expensive in Ireland, and I might be able to get a friend to get it for me in the US, but if not, would it be cheaper to get it in Austria when I%26#39;m there in early December than to buy it here?

It won%26#39;t be much under 500,- Euro here, according to www.geizhals.at - a site comparing prices of discount electronic stores. Also, those stores typically won%26#39;t have it on stock but you%26#39;ll have to order in advance to make sure it%26#39;s there when you come.

Thanks for that - it%26#39;s probably not worth it then, I%26#39;d be able to get it for that here. Hopefully I%26#39;ll be able to get it from the states after all : )

You make a good choice.

I would agree that you look elsewhere for cheap electronics- Vienna will not offer you any great bargains .
