Public Rehearsals

Can someone explain to me how public rehearsals work. I feel I would be remiss if I went to Vienna and did not hear some classical music in one of the concert halls. However, I do not want to spend a lot of money and have not heard positive comments regarding standing room tickets. I am not a music connesseur and just want to get a %26quot;taste%26quot;.

Look carefully at the concert offerings during the time of your visit

www.musikverein.at

www.konzerthaus.at

they often have excelent concerts with many tickets in satisfactory seats at 13 - 35 euro.

Coming some distance , it is unfortunate to miss a nice evening ar these prices.

Standing room at the Musikverein is Ok- but most appreciate the concert and surroundings much more with a seat.

You will find few %26quot; rehearsals%26quot; ( Probe) availble - then by ticket and you usually need to know some one.
