I would be so grateful if someone can help - my daughter and I are coming to Vienna next month for a few days and we have just discovered we are flying into Bratislava with Ryanair !! - what would be the best way to get from Bratislava airport to:-
Austria Trend Hotel Donauzentrum
Wagramer Strasse 83-85
Vienna 1220
Austria
as I am getting on in years I don%26#39;t wan%26#39;t to have to carry my case too far - have had a quote from Bratislavhotels.com for a taxi which would be 94 euros which is a little expensive - is it possible to get from Bratislava airport to Vienna airport and then get taxi to hotel or should we go from Bratislava airport to Vienna centre and get a taxi ? - if these are possible is there taxis near where the bus would drop us off in Vienna centre ?
Thank you so much.

Please, just look on the website of Ryan Air - you can book a transfer from Bratislava airport to Vienna via there:
http://www.ryanair.com/site/EN/?culture=GB
look at %26quot;Airport transfer%26quot;
http://coachtv.ibooking.com/book.asp?lng=german%26amp;id_prov=3098%26amp;route=1+1270%26amp;id_affiliate=252%26amp;pos=NAVTAB
This is a dedicated airport-city centre transfer for Ryanair passengers only.
Journey Time: approx. 90 minutes
A round-trip ticket wil cost 14 Euros/person.
Pickup/Dropoff: Bratislava Airport: Outside Arrivals - Terminal B
Vienna: Erdbergstrasse, 198 - in front of the Underground Station U3.
There take the subway U3 (orange line) to Stephansplatz and there change to subway U1 (red line) in direction of Leopoldau and go until station Kagran, then it is an 8 min. walk to the hotel.
Your hotel unfortunatley is quite far from the city center, not in a popular area for tourists - but with the subway U1 as you see you will have a direct connection into the historic city center.

Ryanair have a dedicated coach transfer to Vienna from Bratislava airport. According to their website it terminates in Vienna at %26quot;Erdbergstrasse, 198 - in front of the Underground Station U3%26quot;
You could take an underground train from there on line U3 6 stops to Stephansplatz and change to the U1 line 8 stops to Kagran which is very near to your hotel (the hotel website says %26quot;50m%26quot;). The journey time would be 20 - 30 minutes.
Alternatively you could take a taxi from Erdberg Underground Station.
Hope this helps

Sorry for the near identical information - Ulrike posted whilst I was composing my reply!
I%26#39;ve stayed in Kagran many times and as Ulrike says the U1 gives very fast 10 min) and frequent connections to the city centre.

Thank you so much for all your help - much appreciated.
One more question if I may.......We will be arriving at Bratislava about 9.30p.m. and by the time we get to Vienna it will be fairly late so would like to take a taxi from where the Ryanair bus drops us in Vienna to the Trend Hotel Donauazentrum - do you know if there are taxis nearby ?
|||
A more difficult question. I have never used that particular underground station so I have no idea. Maybe one of the other posters can give you first hand information or else advise you of a taxi firm you can call for a cab.
I doubt that Ryanair%26#39;s transfer service would just dump you in the suburbs of Vienna without any onward transport possibilities. If you can bear the trauma, a call to Ryanair%26#39;s customer services may help.

The bus transfers seem be done by a coach company called Terravision who have a contact number for enquiries of +39 06 45441345 which appears to locate them in Italy.

I have used the bus before, there is normally a few cabs there awaiting the people. If you are unlucky, here are a few cab-phone numbers for Vienna, the dispatchers should all speak enough English:
+43 1 31300
+43 1 60160
This hackney-taxi company offers transfers from Bratislava to Vienna for € 69.- and can be preordered online:
www.rosenov.at/airport_taxi_en/order.htm
I have to say I never used this service myself, so no personal guarantee there.
