Currency in vienna

Can you tell me what money they use in Vienna as we going there in february for 2 days,

Are things cheap there like krakow, we have booked the royal hotel there , is it near the center?

Dear Geraldine,

Austria has the Euro, just like Ireland, but I am afraid we are not as cheap as Krakow, but still around 10 - 15% below the average Irish price level, especially regarding meals, drinks and daily shopping items.

The Hotel Royal is very centrally located, just a minutes walk from the cathedral, you will be able to get to many sights simply by foot !
