Distance from Graz to Salzkammergut

Hi

Does anyone knows how far is it to drive from Graz to Salzkammergut?

We are heading to Hallstatt and hoping to stay a night there but seems that there aren%26#39;t many hotels in that area. Thus we might just make it a day trip there and stay somewhere else. We are thinking of either St. Gilgen, Mondsee or Fuschl. Any suggestions? Will be there to celebrate christmas.

The drive from Graz is about 2 - 2, 5 hours according to the weather and driving conditions - 177km.

You will have to go via Liezen, Trautenfels, Bad Mitterndorf. It is a scenic drive, but make sure your rental car has winter tyres AND chains as there is the possibility to have snow and ice on the road in winter time.
