Estimated Taxi Fare from Vienna Airport to Etap Hotel

To those Vienna experts, how much does a metered taxi cost from Vienna Airport to Etap Hotel Sankt Marx? I am joining the taxi queue at Vienna Airport.

Am I right to say that joining the taxi queue is cheaper than advance booking with one of those taxi services that costs about 27 or 28 euros. Which type is cheaper, non-booked taxi or booked taxi?

I will be arriving very late at night around 2300hrs to midnight.

Looking at the map of Vienna, the Gasometer area where the Etap Hotel is located is closer to the airport than the city center so my gut feeling is that a metered taxi ride is cheaper?

First of all....did you choose the Etap hotel for a special reason????

It is not in the best part of town and as usually this hotel chain is located near a highway as truckers often stay there....

About taxi:

I think prebooked is cheaper:

Yes, I have considered it many times about Etap. Its due to the low cost that%26#39;s why I am staying there. The Euro is at an all time high %26amp; this is the best value for money. I have stayed at Etap before but it was in France in several locations. So its not my first time at Etap. I have checked thru all other hotels or hostels but either the location was dodgy or the room had problems based on travellers reviews here.

Etap in Vienna seem to be rather service oriented as I have called them twice to re-confirm certain things %26amp; they were very responsive %26amp; spoke English very well.

The reviews on Etap are OK on this board. As its near the Gasometer U bahn station, it would be easily accessible to city center.

Strange, I thought taking a metered taxi would be cheaper instead of booking one. Well, I would take taxi only if I miss the last S Bahn to Wien Mitte since the airline may or may not be on schedule.

Regarding the taxi: I would say its right on the rim, it could be a few Euros cheaper on ametred one, because there is not gonna be any traffic at the time you are arriving, but not sure about that. You might want to ask the reception before arrival, if they have any experience from people who arrived and said how much they paid !
