Hi,
My friend and I are from the United States and are flying into Munich on December 28th. We were planning on traveling to Solden, but we didn%26#39;t realize that everything was booked. We want to stay somewhere with good snowboarding and a good nightlife for New Years. We were thinking Solden, Mayrofen, Ischgl, or St. Anton. I have been looking on websites for about 2 weeks for any kind of place to stay and cannot find anywhere in any of these places. Can you please tell me where I can find accomodations for December 28th thru January 3rd. I do realize that some places make you book for a week, which would not be a problem cause we would just check out early., so we could even do December 29th thru January 5th if we had to. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Christmas Time and New Year are the most busiest days of the year in winter resorts as there are school holdays as well.
What you can do, is to contact the tourist offices of the villages you want to stay in!
Maybe also try the villages of:
Obertauern
Kitzbuehel
Saalbach

As Ulrike mentioned, it may be worth contacting the tourist offices directly if you have somewhere specific in mind, as not all the accomodations will be bookable on line. Another area you could consider is the Ski Amade in Salzburgerland. I%26#39;ve attached the website below and if you go to Hotels and Accomodations on the LH bar you can search by date. It looks as though they have plenty of availability for your dates Be careful here though as some of the villages are quite quiet. If you want a lively time, it may be best to go to Flachau or Wagrain . You can also check out more background about the different villages on-line and make your choice.
Other lively resorts I recommend are Zell am See or Westendorf.

Sorry - here%26#39;s the link I mentioned

Thanks to everyone for all of the helpful info. I went to the link and have sent out about 10 requests for Wagrain and Flachau. What%26#39;s the best way to contact the tourism boards? Can I do it via email or is there a toll free number because my phone bill would be outrageous. Thanks again and hopefully we can find something.
