We%26#39;re thinking of heading here first week March 2008. Booking flights and accomodation separately. It looks like a small town with plenty to low level intermediates...?
Can you tell me of a good hotel that we can ski in/out that isn%26#39;t too expensive (no more than €70 per night per person half board).
If we went B%26amp;B, is there nice restaurants within easy reach?
Thanks!

70 euro per night in Obertauern-
probably at most a 3 star hotel or a good pension-
one 3 star hotel well located - family also has a ski school is the hotel krallinger .
www.kralinger.at
also the obertauern website can provide good information if xyou have not already reviewed it
www.obertauern.at
the Kallinger rate is les than your request and includes breakfast - many dining opportinities not far away.
Obertauern is basically a one major street town with accomodations filling both sides and many easy connections to lifts- they have numerous crossings over the street to allow skiers to cross over without removing skis or fighting traffic.
a good ski circus with good advanced intermediate terrain and generally very good snow conditions that let skiers good enjoyment -
Look at the calendar though - Easter comes early this year and is best advoided if possible to crowds and higher prices.
The connection from Salzburg will take about one hour or a little more.
