Vienna's First 6****** Hotel opening soon?

Hey,

I have recently been in Vienna (cold and lots of Snow!) and heard that early 2008 a new 6 star hotel will be opening a bit outside the town (and owned by a businessman from the middle east, anyway!)...

Is what I %26#39;ve heard true?

The Shangri La is an asian based chain of luxury hotels. Their new hotel in Vienna will be located on the Ringstrasse- former Erste Bank building. - to open some time in 2009.

Several other big projects in process too- but perhaps you refer to the just opened Ring Hotel- a 5 star deluxe property immediately across the Ring from the the Grand Hotel and owned by the same group headed by Sheikh Mohamed Bin Issa Al Jaber

I believe the new Ring ( advertised as casual deluxe - less than 70 rooms)will be just as good as the older sister the Grand-
