Airport to Hotel Markus sittikus

Hi

I am a lone woman travelling for a short break to Salzburg.

Does anyone know is it easy to get from the airport to the hotel Markus Sitikus, is it best by taxi or by rail? And approximate cost please?

thanks

Hello,

Salzburg is a very safe city and you should feel perfectly comfortable there. It%26#39;s only about ten minutes from the airport to the Markus Sittikus so I%26#39;d be inclined to take a taxi. The taxi rank is directly outside the door of arrivals and the fare would be around €10.

If you prefer the bus stops opposite the arrivals hall. I%26#39;m not sure which number you would need but someone will always help you. The city is small and compact. Once you have walked into the old city for your sightseeing everything will be close by. Salzburgers are very helpful, never be afraid to ask for directions, etc.

Have a good trip.

Liz.

Thanks so much

get a no 2 bus outside the airport you could use the ticket machine, it was 1 euro 90 early this year, go to the train station where it pulls up, quite a few shops and supermarket here plus burger king at the station, taxis outside, either get a taxi from there about 5 euros, or walk down towards the centre of salzburg a little dark but quite safe,C%26amp;A on way down go under the bridge and over on the left is markus sitikus hotel on markus sitikus st , , when you come out of your hotel, turn right and mirrable gardens is on the left, walk through it. sound of music filmed there, on the steps and the statues, head to the statues and you will hit a rd, which will take you to the river, theres 2 bridges, one a footbridge,( straight to a supermarket) or the traffic bridge, the castle you will see in front of you, just head for the old town, theres a tourist info in the old square get a map or see your hotel, theres plenty of eating places and coffee shops, if you are by yourself the cafe mozart on the lane towards macdonalds is a nice friendly place to eat in the evening, dont leave it too late or the dumplings will have sold , theres also day tours and half day trips , by the mirrable gardens so if you want to tour the lakes, and go to st wolfgang or even into germany , go there first day and book , again if you want to go to vienna or innsbruck, linz, get a train around 8-30 and go off for the day everybody speaks english, and are very helpful cheap day ticket 2nd class, mozart concert /dinner, see tourist people or hotel, everyway is walkable, and theres a good bus system ENJOY YOURSELF , GOD WILLING I WILL BE THERE IN FEB ITS A FANTASTIC PLACE
