Hello. I%26#39;ve got a few questions...
My husband and I are staying at the Best Western Kaiserhof. We%26#39;ll be coming in from Budapest by train. Is there a quick way via public transportation to get to our hotel from the train station? We%26#39;ll just have backpacks- no luggage lugging. Also, we%26#39;ll be flying out of Vienna and our flight is at 6am. Will a cab be necessary to get to the airport? Any must-sees or must-eats or general advice would be most welcome too! Thanks for the help!

Easy things first: or your departure, I would strongly recommend the cab, way less hassle at that time of the morning, if you are departing at 6 AM, it means you should be out there by 04:30, which means even by cab you would have to leave the hotel at 04:00, thats early enough I would say ... let your reception pre-order one for you the night before, price is around € 30 now.
For your arrival: If you arrive at Südbahnhof, you could take a tram line %26quot;D%26quot; from right in front of the station to %26quot;Gusshausstrasse%26quot;, thats 3 stations, and then walk from there, its around 500 - 600 m from your hotel, along the backside of the Karlskirche Church and the Technical University, or you take a cab from the staion, its not far, € 5-6 for the cabride, and two tramtickets now are € 3,40 as well, plenty of cabs in front of the station.
For general advice I am kindly asking you to bose the existing discussions, I am sure you will find plenty of hintson what to do and see !
Greets, Fritz
