How cold is the weather in Salzburg for October -Nov

Hello every one!!

I%26#39;ll be in the beutiful Salzbug on Oct 23rd but I am from a tropical country and I%26#39;m afraid the freeze conditions stop my fun. Everybody says thatr I just need to wear a coat but I%26#39;m afraid it%26#39;s not enough.

How is the weather there? can I wear jeans? I need your comments please..I guess I will have to buy new clothes for my trip :since I always wear tops, jeans, and saldals heals style :(...

I guess a pair of boots are a good idea right?

Thank you for your advices!

Have a look at the forecast of Yahoo Weather:

Looks like it%26#39;s pretty cold in Salzburg and this time of the year, there always is a chance of rain there. I wonder if the coats you can buy in Caracas are the type of coats you%26#39;ll need in Salzburg. Rather forget about wearing your sandals unless you want to seriously freeze your toes. Boots and pullovers and a warm (and if possible waterproof) jacket are minimum equipment. Jeans will be fine. Bring warm socks and underwear too!

Good luck!

Tomorrow after work I%26#39;ll go buying new boots, warm under wear -not tongue any more :), and a waterproof jacket...

Thank you thank you thak you... I%26#39;m not sure if I can really find a coat like that here in Caracas but I will try!

Thank youuuu X 2000

Dear Penelope

Yes, the weather is getting colder all the time in Salzburg. I recommend that you wear layers of clothes. These trap air between them and keep you warmer. Also, if you%26#39;re inside a warm cafe or tourist sight you can remove a layer. In December I usually wear a T-shirt, then a fleece jacket, then a light waterproof over the top. Jeans or trousers are fine. Take a hat as you lose a lot of heat through the top of your head and, as the previous poster says, keep your feet warm and dry. You will love Salzburg so even if it is cold it won%26#39;t spoil your enjoyment. Just go prepared for cold weather and anything else will be a bonus. Have a wonderful trip.

Liz.

Be prepared with jeans, a rain jacket, hat, gloves, and sweaters. Austrian weather at this time of year can be pretty unpredicable sometimes. I was there in late November last year and the lowest temp recorded was maybe 40 F. But they%26#39;ve already had their first snow this year two weeks ago ;-).
