I am going back to Europe April 2008 (already went to Paris, London and Rome this past summer).
I am flying into Dublin and also going to Madrid, Munich and Athens.
I am looking for two more places to round out the trip and I am debating against Brussels, Prague and Vienna. Which two of these do you like the best.
Also, if you have another idea in Europe that is not mentioned above feel free to add that city and tell me why you like it.
Much appreciated.

From the given cities I would choose Vienna and Prague.
I also prefer Vienna to Prague.

Brussels is more a city you would like to live in than to visit - but I can recommed Antwerp (Belgium) as it is a beautiful, historic and trendy city at the same time.

Other intersting and beautiful cities you might like to visit:
Barcelona
Lissabon
Stockholm
St. Petersburg
Nice and Cote d´Azur area

I have been to all three cities scores of times over the years.
Vienna is my favorite city in the world. I%26#39;ve studied and lived there. As the song says, %26quot;Wien, Wien, nur du allein%26quot; (Vienna, Vienna, only you alone). And it%26#39;s so very true.
Prague is the most beautiful city in the world, in my estimation. Not my favorite --- the most beautiful. I always said, that Prague only needed a little bit of capitalism to clean it up. Unfortunately, it got too much. However, it is still %26quot;most beautiful%26quot;.
Brussels I avoid at all costs. %26#39;Nuf said?

Hi Jeff!
I would have to agree about Brussels. My husband and I travelled from Amsterdam to Paris through Brussels where we spent one night and two days. Aside from the Grand Place (which is amazing) where you can sit, enjoy great beer and people watch, there really is not much else. Can%26#39;t say much about Prague and Vienna as we are on our way there this coming March for the first time. Last year we did Madrid, Barcelona and Dublin and really really loved Spain.

I would Krakow in Poland to your list.
The city itself is steeped in history, the Salt Mines on the outskirts well worth a visit and Auschwitz too.
Plenty of hotels, bars and restaurants and now good travel links with the budget airlines.

Jeff, as you are flying via Dublin anyway, why not include Ireland in your itinerary ? I have just come back from a week at the Irish westcoast, and I have to say it was fab ! You could go over to Galway, and from there go on daytrips to e.g. the Burren %26amp; Cliffs of Moher, the Connemara region or out to the Aran islands and the Dun Angus fort, some of the most breathtaking sceneries I have ever seen in my life !!! Would be worth considering, especially as you mainly have cities on your route so far !

You can`t go wrong with either Prague or Vienna
I`ve been to Prague too many times and i`ll go twice as much in the future. i`ll be in Vienna in a month for 1st time so i don`t have a personal opinion but i haven`t met anyone who isn`t impressed by Vienna.
There are many cities in this area that are worth visiting. Someone already suggested Krakow and agree 10000%. Even hitler respected the beauty of the city!
I wouldn`t go to Athens though. Ugly, noisy, filthy. Unless you want to see the Parthenon stay away. There are better places in Greece to visit.

Jeff,
Prague is a lovely city with a real Old Europe feel, definitely keep it on the list. Brussels is ok for maybe a lazy day, but there are more exciting places to visit in Europe. I haven%26#39;t been to Vienna yet so I can%26#39;t say much about that.
Agreed that Athens is dirty - find an island to go to - Santorini is gorgeous with great beaches and food. It%26#39;s the most beautiful place I have ever been to.
I studied for a semester in Spain. Madrid is ok but feels like it could be any other big city in the US. Barcelona is nice and so is Sevilla. I%26#39;ve heard wonderful things about Valencia on Spain%26#39;s East coast. My favorite city in Spain is Bilbao which is where I studied. It%26#39;s a less touristy place with the Guggenheim (the real art here is the building itself) and nice beaches outside the city. If you%26#39;re going to be in Dublin, consider going to Edinburgh - it%26#39;s a very nice city and you can take a bus trip up to Loch Ness.

Vienna is the most beautiful European capital...
Someone recomended Antwerp and I completly agree!!
Bruges also in Belgium is a must...
What about Amsterdam????

I%26#39;m only going to see Vienna and Prague for my next trip but I did do Brussels on my last visit and I can say there really isn%26#39;t that much there for the tourist. Yes it has some great charm but we finished all the main sites in 1 day.
