Can anyone please advise me on catching a train from the airport to Seefelt.
We arrive at Munich at 11am and there will be four adults.
Many Thanks

Last December we (2 adults and 2 children ages 1 %26amp; 7) travelled from Munich airport to Mittenwald, which is a couple of stops before Seefeld, and it couldn’t be easier.
At Munich Airport you get the S-Bahn to the city of Munich. We landed at Terminal 2 and it’s a short walk to the S-Bahn station. You can either buy the tickets in the airport termminal or use the ticket machines which have instructions in English. Train ticket options however are another subject which needs further research. We travelled as a family so a Bayern Ticket was the best option.
You have to change trains in Munich. To avoid a busy, and potentially confusing, Munich Hauptbahnhof, we changed at Munich Pasing station – really easy and stress-free – you just go under 1 line and up the steps to an adjacent line, however you need to get the S8 train rather than the S1 from the airport for this.
It takes about 2 – 2 hours 15 mins to get to Seefeld, depending upon which Munich station you start at. There is no food or drink on the train into, so come prepared, but it’s a beautifully scenic journey.
Use the web site www.bahn.de for train times. We’re doing the same this year except we are also going as far as Seefeld.
