I have used the %26#39;activities%26#39; tool on the wein.info.at website...but am looking for some personal insights/personal preferences.
Also, if anyone has any personal favorite haunts (food or non-food based), please share them.
Thanks in advance!

On the evening of the 8th, I can strongly recommend the %26quot;Art%26amp; Pleasure%26quot; programm in the National Art museum, a very special dinner buffet, while you can parallel stroll through the museum at night ...

If you like good jazz, there is a the Bernd Reiter Quartett, a good modern-jazz crew playing in the %26quot;Jazzland%26quot;, Viennas oldest Jazzclub on Schwedenplatz www.jazzland.at .
On Sunday night, there is a good organ-concert in the %26quot;Lichtenthalerkirche%26quot; in the 9th district, at 19:30, playing pieces of Bach and Boely, its one of the oldest organs of Austria, and its near the house where the famous Austrian composer Franz Schubert was born and brought up, and he played and sang in this church as a child and composed many pieces on this organ. After the concert, nearby Cafe Weimar is only a two tramstops away and a good tip for a later dinner.

And of course there are all the classics, from your hotel ist only a few steps to the state opera, or the Musikverein ...

If you enjoy a nice musical evening in Vienna, I would suggest Grafin Marza , by Kalman at the Volksoper on the 9th.
Fantastic music, usually english subtitles to easily follow the plot.
A few tickets still remain.
then just a short walk downhill after the performance at Cafe Weimar for some food and drink..
On Sunday afternoons , usually a good music performance in Palace Liechtenstein. View portions of the best private art collection in Europe in the Palace recently completely restored. The music just adds to the atmosphere.
You will see numerous small stands selling wursts in Vienna - stop by and have a snack. One the the best places just adjacent to the Albertina across the street from the State Opera.
