my husband and I are going to be arriving in Innsbruck on the 31st December. Does anyone have any suggestions on where we can go for dinner and what other activities there will be to do in Innsbruck.
We were thinking of going skiing on New Years Day - will the ski resorts all be open?

The ski resorts around Innsbruck will definitely be open on New Year%26#39;s day. I would recommend going to Igls and skiing the Patscherkofel - there are a variety of runs with different degrees of difficulty from the top of the cable car (including an Olympic downhill).
If you Google %26quot;New Year%26#39;s Eve Innsbruck%26quot;, I think that you will be pleasantly suprised by the variety of activities available. Alternatively, if you stay in one of the bigger hotels in Igls, you will automatically be included in their festivities.

1. how the tourists and local people in innsbruck spend the new year%26#39;s eve in public areas? fireworks, city center meeting, or in .. silence??
2. we are interested in finding good sledge (schlitten) tracks near to city. would you be so kind sending us few direction, please? any web sites? free shuttle?
3. we have been reading on internet that it is possible not finding open restaurants for lunch and dinner in 31st of december and 1st and 2nd of january. are our informations correct, please?
can you tell us: are usually the restaurants in innsbruck open or closed in this special days, please?
