Lindner Hotel am Belvedere

Hello to all,

We will be in Vienna from 24/11 to 27/11 with our 5 years old boy. I have already booked with Lindner Hotel am Belvedere, but the reviews are fews, so i am a little bit concerned, mostly about the location. If i understand correct is close to a S station (Rennweg??) and the 71 tram that passes by goes to Karlsplatz... Is the neighbourhood safe enough? Can we walk to the city centre or we must rely only on public transport? Any answer will be very much appreciated....

Thankx in advance

The amount of reviews is so small, because the hotel only opened a few months ago, so that shouldn´t concern you, I have been at the opening and it looked very nice and modern. Its part of a big German hotel-group.

The area is safe, thats no problem, you have the wonderfull Belvedere Palace in the back and Vienna´s international embassy district in front of you, nothing to worry about. Its not the most quiet location though, Rennweg is a road with two lanes each directions, and tram tracks in the middle, so that could cause some some noise, you might wanna check back with the reception if its possible to get a room to the back of the house.

Traffic connections are fairly good, you can choose between two tramlines, that lead to the %26quot;Ringstrasse%26quot; road in a few minutes, this road limits the old town, and there is some concentration of sights along it. Its about 10 min. walk away if you prefer that. All in all a good offer if you like a very modern place !

Greets, Fritz
