Tandem Paraflying a great experience

If you are interested in tandem paraflying in Innsbruck the company to contact is mountainfly.at They offer a brilliant service. Raimund from mountainfly will pick you up in Innsbruck and drive you to the take off area, supply lift tickets, all equipment and instructions. During the flight he takes photo%26#39;s of you and the mountains. After landing he transfers the photos for you to CD and then drives you back to Innsbruck. A truly wonderful service that cost no more than other companies. My wife and I (Both 68 y.o.) flew with him September from Neustift, a beautiful picture postcard village in the Stubai Valley. This was my first flight and my wife%26#39;s second. My wife flew with Raimund last year and were so impressed that we came back from Australia to fly again. So if you would like to fly with eagles then give it a try. Check out their websiye for email contact.

Hi: After reading your post I thought I would like to try Paraflying. My Husband and I and my stepdaughter will be in Innsbruck on Nov 18th of this year could you answer a couple of question for me. The thought is very scary to me, I%26#39;m a bit afraid of heights, but not enough if I was secure to not do it. I was wondering the time involved in it, how long from when they pick you up till you get back to the hotel. Would nov be too cold? Was the pictures worth buying was it of just the scenery or some facial shots too? We have limited time in Innsbruck and can%26#39;t take a whole day to do this, but this sounds like so much fun and a good experience that kate and I could share. The husband would not want to do.

If you could reply to my personal email i would appreciate it. djmathias@beeline-online.net

Thank you

Mountainfly pick you up in Innsbruck. We flew at Neustift in the Stubai Valley which is 1/2 and hours drive. You have to ascend the cable car and get kitted up with flying suits and helmets. The Innstructor will take you through the take-off procedures. He has to set up the para glider. All this takes about 1/2 an hour. The flight duration depends on thermals and the like. We found it safe. Once you are flying it is magic. No noise just the wind. When we flew there was plenty of other paragliders in the air. So the sight was spectacular. The scenery is magnificaent. If you go in November the higher parts of the mountain will be snow covered so dress up warm. My wife cannot stand on a chair without feeling giddy and she has had no trouble with the heights. As I said we are both 68, I have a heart problem and my wife suffers from MS. The photographs are all part of the package, as is all the safety equipment and cable car. The instructor/pilot is licenced by the Austrian government. We went to Garmisch after Innsbruck but unfortunately the weather was very cold and rainy and lots of snow on the mountains, so we were not able to parafly there. Let me know if you need any other info and I will be glad to send it to you.

heart68, your post was the inspiration for my wanting to to a paraglide. I did try with no sucess to get hold of mountianfly both with email which my server would not send and to call but an operator recorded message which I did not understand came on and the number is either changed or cancelled. So, I will try to continue to get hold of them. I wonder if they would even do a para glide on the 19th of nov.

Fritz. Thank you so much. I will try it, but it kind of looks like most of the ski areas lifts are closed in Nov so don%26#39;t know if we will get to do this. I guess there is the bob sled, LOL.

Official season openinmg in most resorts is 8th december, which is a holiday over here, only very high resorts can open earlier, but I am not sure he requieres snow for the flight, and miost lifts run during the summer as well, at least on certain dates, so don´t give up the hope !
